Jenelle Evans arrested, The 21-year-old “Teen Mom 2” star was arrested in North Carolina on Tuesday for possession of heroin with intent to manufacture, sell, or distribute as well as assault after a domestic dispute with her husband Courtland Rogers brought police to the pair’s home.
TMZ reports Evans was found to be in possession of 12 bindles (small paper packets) of heroin, along with illegal drug paraphernalia (wrapping papers and a glass smoking pike) and Percocet, a prescription painkiller for which, it turned out, she did not have a prescription.
Police say Evans struck Rogers with a piece of furniture while the pair was having a disagreement.
According to TMZ, Rogers was also arrested for assault after "hitting [Evans] on the neck and striking her with a closed fist on her head."
This is not Evans’s first brush with the law. The reality star, who got her TV start on MTV’s “16 and Pregnant,” has an extensive criminal record, including numerous issues with assault and marijuana. She was also served with a warrant for failure to pay child support for her 3-year-old son Jace (his dad is Evans’s ex, Andrew Lewis).
Evans went to a rehab facility in March to address her addiction issues, but checked out after just four days.
“I simply feel as if I didn’t need to go to treatment if my problem isn’t drugs anymore, and never will be again,” she wrote on her Sulia page on March 15. “I need individual counseling and therapy if anything for being addicted to relationships. I can honestly admit this about myself and can’t seem to help it unless I continue to get the help I need through therapy.”
