Dick Van Dyke disorder, Dick Van Dyke has taken a step back from recent career commitments due to a neurological health scare.
The 87-year-old iconic actor-singer-dancer was due to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award for Bettering Humanity through Comedy from New York's 92Y on April 26, but was forced to cancel his public appearance due to "fatigue and lack of sleep resulting from symptoms of a yet-to-be diagnosed neurological disorder,” his rep said in a statement to Entertainment Tonight.
92Y confirmed the cancellation, telling the Daily News: "Due to a medical condition, Mr. Van Dyke is unable to travel to New York for the program."
Based on the medical advice Van Dyke received on his condition, he is currently resting and recuperating at his home in Malibu, added the star's rep.
Van Dyke took to his Twitter account Wednesday to discuss his unidentified health problem.
"My head bangs every time I lay down. I've had every test come back that I'm perfectly healthy. Anybody got any ideas?" he wrote.
The showbiz personality has received plenty of advice from his nearly 30,000 followers on tips to get well soon.
