Dog Eats $500, When Wayne Klinkel and his wife went on a road trip at Christmas, they made the mistake of leaving their 12-year-old golden retriever, Sundance, in the car — along with five $100 bills and a single. When they returned, all the bills (except the single, of course) were gone. "Sundance is notorious for eating anything and everything, so right away I knew what happened," Klinkel said. Klinkel then spent the rest of his vacation picking through Sundance's leavings, with remnants of some the bills discovered only after the snow melted.
The poopy pieces are now with the lucky Treasury Department employee who gets to examine them and decide whether the government will send Klinkel a check to replace the damaged bills.
