Swift Buys Mansion With Cash, The five-acre property has five bedrooms, 700 feet of waterfront and more than 11,000 square feet of living space.
Taylor Swift has a lot of money. So much money, in fact, that the ” I Knew You Were Trouble” singer reportedly paid $17 million in cash for her fourth home – a seaside mansion in ritzy Rhode Island.
According to TMZ, days after Swift, 23, was seen touring the gorgeous estate in Westerly, R.I., she has now sealed the pricey deal. The gossip site reports movers were spotted at the property April 27.
The mansion boasts five bedrooms, 700 feet of waterfront and more than 11,000 square feet of living space sitting on five acres.
No ‘Trouble’ at all: Taylor Swift, 23, sealed the deal just days after she toured the Rhode Island mansion.
Swift even talked down the price, handing over $17.75 million instead of the asking price – $20 million.
Of course, wanting a chart-topping pop star to move into the neighborhood might have swayed the sellers a bit.
The “We Are Never Getting Back Together” songstress is no stranger to savvy real estate decisions. She recently flipped a Cape Cod, Mass., property she bought – supposedly because it was close to then-boyfriend Conor Kennedy – and made a $1 million profit.
“I apparently buy houses near every boy I like – that’s a thing that I apparently do,” Swift joked in an interview with Vanity Fair, initially denying the Kennedy link. “If I like you, I will apparently buy up the real estate market just to freak you out so you leave me.”
Vanity Fair discovered Swift actually did buy the home in a deal inked through her management company.
“It was like a house flip,” the magazine’s source said. “A good short-term investment.”
